Hi
I have an issue where, when I am playing TDM, I have noticed a couple of issues.
- There game freezes for about 8 seconds when I first start a map
- I get an unspecified violation error (11:36 am EST)
Other players (well, one for sure) have the freezing issue.

I am running Widows 10 bootcamp on a MAC.

Before you blame the MAC & I know you want to :p

This does not happen on the FFA server.

Thoughts?

Does it correlate with screenshots being fired off?

No - I don't know how to do that :D . The weird thing is that the FFA sever is fine.

The unspecified violation is normally the result of cod4x not receiving an expected packet within a required timeframe, and proceeding to disconnect the client as a precaution.

I mention screenshots as it's probably the most common cause of this. As it doesn't occur on FFA, I'd be wondering if there was a difference in the server configuration. Perhaps a screenshot is being made on player connect, however without terminal access, this is hard to debug from purely a client-side.

It might be worth asking whoever has terminal access to watch the session when you connect. It will give more of an insight into what is being requested and not received from your client.

I did some digging on your server setup. It looks like automatic screenshots being fired as soon as a player spawns for the first time on the TDM server. I can't see this happening on the FFA server.

So that would explain why you're having issues on this specific server.

It seems to be prevalent on MACs, unsure to the exact reason as I'm not experienced with bootcamp, but I wonder if could be down to drivers?

Though with cod4x explicitly not supporting anything to do with MAC, unfortunately, there's not really a fix for this either, other than disabling automatic SS and only using targeted screenshots instead.

I too had this issue last night - "You have raised unspecified violations (10)".

I'd been playing for a while. I'm using a PC...like (insert your personal deity) intended :p

It seems to me that Windows 10 is running on BootCamp natively. Which means all of the windows drivers have been installed and don't require Apple Support files other than the initial bunch.

Yes, using BootCamp to run Windows, the Mac is no different to any other Windows PC. It's a great way to turn a pretty door stop into something useful :D

The only time I get it is with Overgrown and I get it every time I play it, about 5 minutes in.
