Just to let you all know that I am working on a new website structure. The current solution has a number of bugs and a lot of the components are no longer receiving security updates. When the move takes place all members will need to register again. The old site will remain accessible via a new domain for a few months. Those who wish to move over images or forum posts are free to do so, but the old site will not accept new registrations. I will move a number of the "How to" posts over as part of the rebuild. A new forum post will be coming with updates and a time line for the launch.

Hi guys, Hey I need a new keyboard. Can anyone recommend a good one? Also, looking for a good headset so I can start bugging you by voice too. :) Thx!
When it comes to keyboards i've always used a standard plug n play , headset however is a different matter. I currently have the Hyperx Cloud Alpha, sound is incredible, they're well built and very comfy to wear even for long periods of gaming. They have also come down in price from when i bought mine, now only £79.99

https://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperX-HX-HSCA-RD-EM-Gaming-Headset-Noir/dp/B076GT6XJ9/ref=asc_df_B076GT6XJ9/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309902997323&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16490189619168411961&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1007432&hvtargid=pla-404458244821&psc=1&language=en_GB&th=1&psc=1

If thats a little steep then hyperx do other models which are cheaper but similar styling, sound and build quality.
+1 for the Hyper x headsets.

I have the HyperX cloud revolver S and it's bleeding awesome. :)

Keyboard I have a corsair K70 which I like much more than the others I've had and it flashes red and looks cool. :D

I wasn't convinced about the benefits of a mechanical keyboard until I got one and now wouldn't go back.
Which K70 Fergy ? Lux, MK2 ??

Lux. Although I had to flip it over before I knew. :D
Fairplay these keyboards look wicked, the idea of a metal framed keyboard is right up my street. Just been looking at the Mk2

That's like mine only more posherer.
I am using a 12 year old Dell keyboard that my work unknowingly gave me. :p

I had an expensive mechanical keyboard and tbh the dell works pretty well and I have noticed no difference.

A good gaming mouse however I could not do without. One with weights.
i was tempted into buying a mechanical keyboard. tried it and put it back in the box, where it has stayed since
Way too blummin noisy with blue switch keys

My headset is a cheap £15 Logitech one which does me fine. I find the big gaming headsets a bit heavy to wear for too long.

Razer Blackwidow v2 here very comfy wrist pad and goes with my Deathadder mouse..pretty lights :p . But mechanical keyboards all the way. Looking to get some PBT replacement keys as I've worn down a few existing ones. Also got K70 upstairs used on another pc both great keyboards. Also got Hyperx headset fine and cosy on my big lugs ;)
I still use a Logitech G15 that I bought back in my mmorpg days so I could display certain stats (DPS) on the screen.

I need to change it as I do more and more proper work on my desktop these days and its a US keyboard (no pound signs etc..)

As for headsets, I have Corsair Vengeance 1500:

Got it for €30, was a great deal. Solid cheap mechanical keyboard. Would buy it again. Pity is only a 60% layout
I use a Logitech G123 keyboard, which changes pretty colours, a Logitech MX518 weighted mouse and Turtlebeach, Earforce P11 headphones.

Don't know what that means, or even if they are good.

Had them for many years and do the job.:D :D :D

I use a Sharkoon PureWriter TKL RGB keyboard since more then a year, and I like it very much. Very good quality, low profile keys, not so loud as other keyboards, and RGB. And it's without number pad, so I have more place for the mouse. There is also a version with number pad. The quality is really very good, it looks like at the first day and it works like at the first day.
