It appears Activision are getting punchy. They have sent a Cease and Desist letter to XLabs today, They are going to comply immediately so that means MW2 will be gone by tomorrow. I also think similar is being sent to the Plutonium team. I have not heard that the COD4X guys have received anything yet so fingers crossed they will be left alone.

I'm not sure about XLabs but the Plutonium versions allowed you to play the game without ever having bought a license. I'm surprised it lasted this long, it is clearly an infringement of copy-write even if Activision have no skin in the game now.

Download and extract the zip file to your desktop
type in run box: %LocalAppData%\xlabs\data
Copy and paste the cef and iw4x folder into the data folder
This will merge the folders and overwrite the older file with the new.
Copy the iw4x.dll from the iw4x folder to the root of your IW4x game directory.
You should be good to run the game and it should say version r4303 at bottom right of main menu
