robbyy commented on this post about 1 year agoJust thought I would pop in with a wee update. If you are in need of a smile, please read on. As I am sure you are aware, I have been having bother with my Console not working in-game.
I thought I had the problem solved when the the nice postman delivered my parcel. Spent the next five hours trying to re-load cod4 with no success. Fortunately I had not uninstalled the game.
Anyhow fast forward 24 hours and son in law arrives. Bit of a whizz kid on all things IT. 1 hour later I here a loud expletive from the room (most unusual) I thought he had spilt his tea on the keyboard or similar.
No, wasn't that. During all this process I had demonstrated how easy it was to load DOOM. The loud cry was him noticing DOOM was PC-CDROM, COD4 on the other hand is PC-DVD.
I had ordered the wrong external drive. DOH
Please before the laughter and abuse starts (not an admin) try and have a bit of sympathy for us elderly who are shielding.
Because one day you'll be here.

Didn't even think you could still get an cd-rom drive! Oh well lesson learnt. I could tell you a few IT blunders!

"Console" as in the command window or just the "server chat" - or to put it another way for clarity, the tilde key opens the command window, T opens More ...
