I have laid out the issues I am having in Flatsix's post here: https://oghf.org.uk/discussions/general-forum-boards/22425-a-little-test-post

Whenever I try to do anything on the site I get different error messages being thrown up from PERMISSIONS to ID to OPS ITS BROKE etc etc

I cannot do anything without getting these. I have deleted my saved version of this site in my browser, logged out logged in resaved in browser, nothing I do rectifies these errors?
not sure this will be of any help but have you deleted the site cookie ? Also try a different browser if possible.

Its very strange I just deleted all cookies etc which signed me out of everything yahoo, ebay.paypal etc etc, however when I clicked on OGHF link it showed as signed in by way of big box saying LOGOUT top right, but when I then navigated to this thread (which threw up the same issues) I had to log in to reply? there is something very odd going on I will try in my other browser see if that rectifies the issue, but as I get an error with my ID number thrown up occasionally I think its site end not my end?

Ok so it works better in my other browser no ID or PERMISSIONS errors as yet, however the one error I still get in working browser is this when trying to 'view notifications'

Hi All

Thanks Bluedevil for your feedback.

Every error you pointed out was an error.

The yellow banner talking about user id 1294 was an orphaned post in the gitbay board caused by a user that requested deletion a few months ago.

The Notification issue was caused by a Plugin that had not updated to the latest version for some reason.

The Logout button was just a static button that was there to help any one logout if they wanted to. I thought it may cause confusion so I have removed it. The red panel is the standard response from the site if you are not logged in.

I will look into tidy way to show login/status on the front page, currently you need to scroll down to the login box.

Cheers

Thanks, however I just joined from my other browser that was working better, and I was logged in as it showed me your response under notifications but when i clicked on the response I again was met with you do not have permission, then after going from game forum to general forum a couple of times (that is all I did) it allowed me to access the response? I really do not know what is going on, the logout box you mentioned did nothing for me when I tried it, so for me was redundant anyway, and the other errors I get whilst logged in, so the red panel etc is whilst logged in?

And again now still whilst logged in, a notification that someone replied to a post I had written on, I click on it and it says I do not have permission! though I come to this post and I can access it?

Well someone did something as it is working better, the only issue I have had last few minutes navigating is trying to view old notifications, it opens them which it did not do last time would just take me to OOPS, but as soon as I click on one it again says 'no permission'

Hi

I have cleaned up a number of functions that I think have improved the way the site reacts. Linking from a notification is a permissions issue that I will continue to look into.

Cheers

Yeap there is def a difference since you cleaned up, small teething issues with the new/tweaked site could have been a lot worse:)
